Hovingham Village Hall hosts this year’s Good Life event – celebrating rural life.
The ‘Good Life’ can mean many things to different people, it could mean improving your wellbeing, contributing to your rural community and ensuring you’re living an environmentally-friendly life.
These things are all being celebrated at a very special event being held in Hovingham Village Hall on 25 June 2022.
The Good Life event is being organised by Community First Yorkshire with support from Howardian Hills AONB.
The event is designed to promote and demonstrate some of the things we can all do to make our lifestyles more sustainable, such as growing our own flowers to attract wildlife, properly insulating our homes, getting out in the countryside and doing all we can to support the environment.
Jane Colthup, Chief Executive at Community First Yorkshire said: “The event encompasses all that is good about rural life, bringing the focus back to the importance of respecting and celebrating the beauty of where you live.”
There will be a wide variety of exhibitors and stalls at the village hall including: Ryedale Cycle Forum, Next Steps (Cornflower Project), Ryedale Environmental Group, Yorkshire Arboretum, NYCC Rotters and Derwent Preserves, plus many more!
Jane said “In rural Yorkshire, all of these things help to bring a community together. Sharing produce amongst your neighbours and working together to take care of the environment builds strong relationships to really create a good life.”
The event is free to everyone to attend and promises to be a lovely family-friendly day out, celebrating rural life in Ryedale.
Be sure to stop by Hovingham village hall on Saturday 25 June between 10am-3pm to see what the ‘Good Life’ can look like.
