Leeds: Peer Support Group and Development Worker (Young People), Leeds Mind
Leeds Mind is the city’s leading mental health charity. We have faith and optimism in our clients and so the services we deliver are built around their needs. We support the people of Leeds to discover their own resources to ‘recover’ from periods of poor mental health, and to live life independently with their mental health condition.
Our values of Kindness, Hope, Respect, Empowerment, Support, and Inclusion are pivotal to the work we do.
The post holder will join Leeds Mind’s successful Peer Support team with responsibility for our THRU (Talk, Help, Relate, Understand) project for young people aged 14-25.
Leeds Mind’s peer support model has gained local, regional, and national recognition, and THRU was recently commended in the ‘Doing it for Ourselves’ category in the national Marsh Awards. We are proud to support all peer support staff and volunteers to share their own lived experience of mental health difficulties as an integral part of their roles.
