Youth Work Team Leader:
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £29,547.33
Hours of work: 28 up to 37 hours per week – evening work required
Place of work: Ripon YMCA and in the Ripon community
Holidays: 29 days pro rata

The role: As an organisation working with young people and young adults, we wish to continue developing our services for our tenants and other young people in the Community. The Youth Work Team Leader position will be central to the expansion of our existing work.

Ripon YMCA are seeking a proactive Youth Work Team Leader to lead the delivery of a wide range of projects and sessions including:

  • Park based activities in summer
  • Craft and arts sessions
  • Drop in information and advice
  • Wellbeing activities for young adults
  • Employability workshops and jobs club
  • Fun activities in the school holidays
  • Health and Wellbeing guidance and activities
  • Youth Voice and Youth Representation activities
  • Supporting Young Volunteers and Young Leaders projects
  • Targeted work in local schools

Our goals are to increase young people’s confidence and resilience, develop skills for living, and ensure that young people have someone to talk to, something to do and somewhere to go.

You will lead a small team of staff and volunteers who are creative, reflective and enthusiastic, to provide good quality services and opportunities for young people, and young adults in Ripon. You will engage with partners and local networks to ensure we effectively work with others to maximise our reach.
