Skipton: Project Coordinator – Share Skipton

We’re looking for a committed, enthusiastic person, with an interest in community climate action, to come and lead our friendly team!

Share Skipton is a community-led initiative dedicated to fostering a circular economy by promoting sharing, sustainability, and waste reduction. We operate a Library of Things and plan to set up Repair Cafés and other sharing initiatives, helping people to borrow and share rather than buy, and repair rather than discard. We are currently open 3 times a week – Tuesdays 4-6, Thursdays 10-12, and Saturdays 10-1 – but hope to expand our opening hours as we grow and develop.

Thanks to generous funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, we are now seeking a Project Coordinator to lead and develop Share Skipton in line with our vision, mission, and values. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, strategy implementation, new developments, and community engagement. You will be supported by a part-time Volunteer Coordinator.

Our vision is a more sharing, sustainable Skipton. Our values are built around three themes:

  •  environment – reducing our impact on the planet to help tackle climate change
  • equality and inclusion – enabling everyone to access the things they need
  • community – creating a stronger, kinder, more sustainable Skipton
