Full-time salary – £43,000 – 45,000k
Hours – 37 hours
York CVS is a membership body, bringing together, supporting and representing the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector in York. We promote and celebrate volunteering and aim to reduce inequality through social action. We work alongside many other people and organisations to improve life in York by taking steps to make positive change, challenge issues and grow new ideas which strengthen communities.

We are looking for a very special inspirational senior manager to take on this key role at York CVS.
Do you have a background in the VCSE sector? Are you an exceptional leader with the ability to guide, develop and grow our dedicated team?

You will be an established senior manager with a proven track record of leading and managing diverse teams to deliver highly effective projects and programmes in the voluntary sector.

You will have strong budget management skills and an up-to-date knowledge of funding, procurement, and commissioning activity. You will be leading the grant-giving programme, working with multiple stakeholders.

On a personal level, you’ll be an excellent communicator, capable of working in challenging and changing circumstances with honesty, empathy, and integrity. You will have experience of relationship building, both internally with staff and externally with our partners, along with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the VCSE sector over the next couple of years.

We are particularly interested in applications from candidates with experience in working with the health and care sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader to get involved in community-shaping work, and to boost your career in a respected infrastructure organisation.
