Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an exceptional leader who can engage, develop and motivate others. Key to this role is the ability to develop good relationships with both internal and external partners.

You will have at least 3 years’ experience at a senior level in the VCSE sector with a demonstrable track record of delivering highly effective projects.

We are looking for someone who has a solid understanding of the challenges facing the voluntary/community and public sectors in the current economic climate and who can maximise the opportunities for the VCSE that will in turn have a positive impact on people and communities.

You will have significant experience of person-centred delivery in a community or clinical setting such e.g. advocacy or support work along with experience of managing risk and making decisions when delivering services to vulnerable individuals.

With strong project management skills, you will have up to date knowledge of funding, procurement and commissioning activity.

The postholder will be required to work across a number of locations so the post is not suitable for someone looking to work remotely. You will also need to have access to your own transport.

• Location: 15 Priory Street York CVS York YO1 6ET. The postholder will also be required to work at York Hospital and the Frailty Hub.
