At Community First Yorkshire, we are launching a three-year National Lottery funded partnership programme designed to inspire and empower communities and the VCSE sector to take meaningful climate action. We are looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to play a crucial role in capturing, analysing and showcasing the impact of this ambitious initiative – shaping a greener, more sustainable future for North Yorkshire.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will work closely with the Climate Action Project Manager and an external learning partner to development and implement a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation framework. You will collect, record, and analyse programme data at individual, community, and organisation level, whilst gathering information to be used in case studies and success stories. You’ll be sharing both the social and environmental impacts of the programme with our programme delivery partners, funders, and key stakeholders to ensure learnings are widely communicated.

Throughout this role, you’ll collaborate with our Climate Action Officer to facilitate inclusive, reliable data collection to assist programme monitoring through a wide range of methods. You will report on the findings at regular intervals throughout the programme, providing clear analysis that informs future programme development. You will engage with communities, organisations and partners to ensure data-driven storytelling enhances programme visibility and effectiveness across North Yorkshire.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking detail-driven, analytical candidates with a passion for using data to drive meaningful change. Ideally, you will have experience of data collection methods, analysis and impact reporting, with an ability to present findings in a variety of ways. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, capable of producing accessible, engaging resources that demonstrate programme impact and a strong collaborative mindset to work alongside a team, our external learning partner and Impact Communications Officers.
