In the Summer of 2023, a proposal to the Humber & North Yorkshire Health & Care Partnership (HNY HCP) was agreed to embed a consistent approach to volunteering across the health and care system across Humber and North Yorkshire.

As part of this work, we have secured funding to scale up the youth volunteering provision across the health and care system across Humber and North Yorkshire.

We are excited to now be recruiting for a Strategic Volunteer Lead* to develop a strategic approach to involving volunteers across the health and care system. The successful applicant will oversee work across the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to develop a consistent culture and streamlined volunteer practices, with a focus on volunteering for young volunteers from 16 years and upwards.

This role will engage colleagues within the health and care system and Voluntary and Community Sector, to develop consistent ways to effectively recruit, retain and deploy young volunteers, identifying good practice and scaling this across the system.

You will have significant experience of managing and building credible relationships and networks. You will have an understanding of, and experience of working with the VCSE sector, an understanding and knowledge of the workings of the NHS and lived experience as a volunteer.
