York Steiner School is entering an exciting new chapter and they are expanding their Board of Trustees to match their ambitions for the future. They are seeking passionate individuals who want to make a meaningful contribution to their vibrant school community and support their mission to bring Steiner Waldorf education to more children and families.

They are currently looking to recruit trustees in the following areas:

• Safeguarding – A vital role for someone with professional safeguarding experience involving children or vulnerable groups.
• Education, Careers and Guidance – Two trustees with expertise or interest in Early Years education, Secondary/Further Education, careers guidance, or teacher training (QTS and/or Steiner Waldorf).
• Business Development, Fundraising and Marketing – To support the school’s long-term sustainability, with particular interest in fundraising experience.
• Finance – A trustee to bring expertise and a fresh perspective to the school’s increasingly complex financial landscape.
• Premises and Facilities – To provide strategic oversight of building upkeep, safety compliance, and future development.
