Women’s development programme
Humber and North Yorkshire (HNY) Health and Care Partnership (HCP) have free places available on a Women’s Development Programme with Barefoot Coaching starting in February. The deadline to apply for a place is 31 January 2023
This programme is aimed at empowering women to reflect on what being a woman means for them, forgetting about any female stereotypes, enhancing confidence and self-esteem, and offering a safe space for women to start speaking their truth and believe in themselves.
Although society has progressed, women do still face a fight for full equality. More women (than men) work part-time, more women find being assertive a challenge, and then there’s navigating childcare responsibilities, maternity leave and not to mention, menopause.
This programme is an opportunity for women to spend time thinking about themselves; to have time reflecting on what they want from life and their career and to build a network with other likeminded women.
The programme consists of five four-hour workshops that take place from 9.30am-1.30pm on the following dates:
- 16 February 2023
- 2 March 2023
- 16 March 2023
- 30 March 2023
- 13 April 2023
Who the programme is suitable for
This programme is structured in a way that you can concentrate on what is most important to you and your circumstances.
It is suitable for women and non-binary colleagues working in health and care within Humber and North Yorkshire who want to advance their careers, are going through a life change or transition, want more self-belief, confidence, or assertiveness or simply some time out to reassess and re-evaluate their values, goals and/or purpose.
They particularly want this programme to support women who are from under-represented groups or are working carers.
The course also uses coaching approaches throughout, there is an added benefit in that you will also learn some coaching skills.
