Best Start in Life affiliated sites
Are you a charity, voluntary group, community venue, faith group, parent group or local service that currently supports families in North Yorkshire?
North Yorkshire Council is reaching out to anyone who would like to be involved in the development of affiliated sites as part of the Best Start In Life.
What is an Affiliated Site?
- An affiliated site is a local group, service or organisation that already supports families.
- Families already trust you. Best Start in Life wants to support you with clear information, training and links to other services, so families can get the right help more easily.
- Being affiliated means you are part of a wider local network supporting babies, children and families.
- You do not have to become a Family Hub. You simply help families know where to go, what support is available and how to get more help if they need it.
What is the ask?
- Be able to dedicate some time to join a task group that will meet online with other colleagues from across North Yorkshire (time & date tbc).
- Work together in a group to develop what and how an affiliated site will work (for example process and documents).
Next Steps
- If you are interested in been involved in this process, please contact Gemma Marshall (details below) by Friday 17 July. Please include your availability for the week commencing 27 July and the week commencing 3 August.
- An invitation for the task group will be sent.
- The group will meet July/August.
