Directions to our office by car

Tower House is situated just off the A64 to the southwest of the city of York. A predominant landmark to look out for is the large water tower situated in the car park, which is to the rear of the building.

From the A1
Leave the A1 at J45 onto the A64, after 10 miles take the slip road signposted ‘York North’ to Harrogate and Thirsk (A1237). Take the first exit from the roundabout and take the first turning on your right, into Mill Lane. Turn right into the Tower House Car Park and Unit A is on the right-hand side of the building.

From the A19 North
Take the A19 towards York, at the first major roundabout take the 4th exit (right) onto the A1237 towards A64 Leeds. Go straight over 3 roundabouts, at the 4th roundabout turn right signposted Askham Bryan College. Take the first turning on your right, into Mill Lane. Turn right into the Tower House Car Park and Unit A is on the right-hand side of the building. If you’re using a Satnav, use this postcode: YO23 3PU.

Directions to our office by train/public transport

Option 1: Taxi (fastest)
• Journey time: Approximately 10 to 15 minutes
• Estimated cost: £12 to £18 depending on traffic and taxi company

Option 2: Direct College Connect Bus (Most Convenient Bus)
A College Connect (COL) bus operates between York Rail Station and Askham Bryan College, which is very close to Community First Yorkshire.
Departure times from York Station (Mon to Fri term time only):
• 09:30
• 10:30
• 11:30
• 13:00
• 14:00
Arrives at Askham Bryan College about 15 minutes later.
From the college stop, Community First Yorkshire is a short walk along Askham Fields Lane. Look for the Water Tower as a visual guide.

Option 3: Bus 37 + walk
Catch York Pullman Route 37 from the train station towards Askham Bryan / Tadcaster. Journey time: About 18 minutes from York Station to Askham Bryan. This option has more frequent services than the College Connect bus but requires a longer walk.
Departure times from York Station (Monday to Saturday):
• 10:55
• 13:35
• 16:15

Walking directions
• Get off the 37 bus at the Village Hall, Askham Bryan.
• Walk east along Main Street.
• Turn onto Askham Fields Lane.
• Continue for approximately 0.5 miles (10 to 15 minutes).
• Tower House will be on Askham Fields Lane.
