UK Shared Prosperity Fund Digital Inclusion Programme
Investment helps bridge the digital divide in North Yorkshire
Now more than ever, digital skills are a vital part of daily life – from booking health appointments to staying in touch with friends and family. But not everyone has the confidence or know-how to get online and make the most of these tools.
That’s where our digital inclusion project came in. The £600,000 UKSPF-funded partnership programme tackled digital exclusion head-on across rural North Yorkshire – helping community organisations develop digital support projects, set up digital hubs and train digital champions to provide the one-to-one support so many people need.
As a result, we have helped individuals develop vital digital skills, build confidence and access essential services.
In 2024/5 the project saw:
- 40 projects delivered in 120+ venues
- 3k people supported with digital skills
- 83 training sessions to boost confidence and capability
- 250+ digital champions trained.
