Investment helps bridge the digital divide in North Yorkshire
Now more than ever, digital skills are a vital part of daily life – from booking health appointments to staying in touch with friends and family. But not everyone has the confidence or know-how to get online and make the most of these tools.
That’s where our digital inclusion project came in. The £600,000 partnership programme – funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – tackled digital exclusion head-on across rural North Yorkshire. It supported community organisations to develop digital support projects, set up digital hubs and train digital champions to provide the one-to-one support so many people need.
