Part-Funded CEVAS Training Course

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) through the Yorkshire Food Farming and Rural Network (YFFRN) is offering part-funded places (up to 80%) for the CEVAS (Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme) Training 2026. This is a great opportunity for farm businesses looking to develop or expand their education and farm-visits offer.

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society is offering heavily discounted places for farmers to take CEVAS training at Home Farm, Richmond, North Yorkshire. CEVAS gives farmers the tools, knowledge and practical guidance needed to host safe and impactful farm visits.

  • Course dates: 15 Jan, 16 Jan & 22 Jan 2026
  • Cost: £60 + booking fee part-funded by the YFFRN. (Normal cost: £360 + VAT)

Encourage your students to showcase their ideas – Student Poster Competition Now Open!

Invite students to take part in the Farmer Scientist Network (FSN) Student Poster Competition, culminating at the Yorkshire Farming Conference on 28 January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for students passionate about farming, innovation, or sustainability to showcase their ideas to industry leaders and gain valuable recognition.

Goodall Development Pathway Finders – Last chance to apply!

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS) is now accepting applications for its Goodall Agri‑Development Pathway, a fully-funded programme supporting the next generation in farming and allied industries.

  • Open to those aged 23–40 working in agriculture or related industries in the North of England.
  • The programme includes 8 modules: from leadership, HR and farm business growth, to sustainable farming practices and an international study trip.
  • A £250 refundable deposit is required if accepted, but the rest is fully funded.
