Helping super-rural community buildings thrive

Two women stand outside a super-rural community building, looking at papers together. In the background, two men engage in different activities, and a noticeboard with papers is visible, highlighting how locals thrive in this setting.

We know how vital community buildings are in rural areas such as halls in villages with 500 residents or less – but many are under pressure and need tailored support to meet their community’s needs.

That’s why we’re gathering ideas for a new project to:

  • Provide dedicated guidance through a Rural Resilience role
  • Use a smart diagnostic tool to understand each hall’s strengths and needs
  • Create custom sustainability plans with access to audits and marketing help
  • Offer small grants to fix urgent issues and unlock bigger funding
  • Connect halls locally to share ideas and run joint activities
  • Gather insights to influence policy and long-term support

💬 We want to hear from you:

What other challenges are super-rural halls facing that we should include?

Let’s build a future where every hall can thrive – not just survive.
