Harrogate: Chair of Trustees, Harrogate Homeless Project
Board meetings are held at Springboard Day Centre, Oxford Street, Harrogate.
Harrogate Homeless Project is the leading charity in the district supporting people who are homeless, at risk, or rebuilding their lives. Their mission is to tackle the root causes of homelessness and help individuals achieve long-term independence, while influencing policy at local, regional and national levels.
With a strong reputation and community support, their work is delivered by a team of 18 staff, nearly 50 volunteers and partners including North Yorkshire Council, local charities and businesses. They are entering an exciting phase of growth, developing services, expanding partnership support onsite, strengthening their policy influence and investing significantly in fundraising.
The Role
They are seeking an exceptional Chair to succeed their current postholder, who is stepping down as planned. The Chair will lead the board and work closely with the executive team to deliver their ambitious plans.
You will bring proven leadership, excellent judgement and strong personal credibility, along with connections across key sectors in North Yorkshire. A commitment to robust governance, effective oversight and statutory compliance is essential to ensure their long-term sustainability and impact.
