Jamie’s Farm is a charity that supports young people through combining therapeutic work, farming and purposeful activities. Through residential visits to their working farms, they provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence and develop resilience to overcome personal challenges.

They are looking for a skilled and organised Youth Programme Leader to join their growing delivery team at Jamie’s Farm Skipton, ahead of launching residential visits in January 2027.

More about the role

As Youth Programme Leader, you will work directly with young people, helping them take part in farm life, from feeding rounds and walks to shared meals and evening activities. You will lead practical gardening and horticultural sessions, helping young people experience the purpose and satisfaction of meaningful work.

You will also coordinate up to 20 visits per year, liaising with partner schools and organisations from booking through to follow-up. This varied role sits at the heart of programme delivery and offers the chance to help shape their developing Skipton residential programme.

About you

You will have experience working with diverse groups of young people, plus strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills. Warm, patient and collaborative, you will build strong relationships and be motivated to contribute fully to farm life.

You will bring gardening or horticulture knowledge and confidence leading engaging practical sessions. Experience in a school, social work or similar setting would be helpful.
