West Yorkshire VCSE Neurodiversity Network
As part of World Autism Acceptance Week, the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership’s (WY HCP) Neurodiversity Workstream (which is part of the Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism Programme) and their Harnessing the Power of Communities Programme would like to invite Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) partners from across the region to their first West Yorkshire VCSE Neurodiversity Network. The event will be held at 09:30am – 12:30pm on Wednesday 29 March via Microsoft Teams.
The West Yorkshire Neurodiversity Workstream aims to bring partners together across all sectors in West Yorkshire to identify how to better serve their neurodivergent population, which you can find out about here. They are specifically focusing on a deep-dive into Autism and ADHD across all ages until March 2024.
They want everyone to be part of the collective movement to make neurodiversity everyone’s business and recognise the huge role the VCSE sector plays in tackling the inequalities faced by and empowering neurodivergent people.
Join them to:
- Get to meet some of the West Yorkshire Neurodiversity Team.
- Learn about the West Yorkshire Neurodiversity Workstream including its ambitions and key areas of work.
- Share and discuss what exists to support neurodiverse people in the VCSE sector.
- Shape what the the West Yorkshire VCSE Neurodiversity Network looks like and how you would want to be involved going forward.
This event aims to be the start of a journey to explore how they can strengthen how they work with their VCSE partners in the West Yorkshire Neurodiversity Workstream. Using what they hear from conversations on the day, they will explore what this will look like and take this forward.
