York: Projects Manager, Community First Yorkshire

Salary: NJC Scale Point 27 – £38,220 pro rata
Hours: Part‑time, 21 hours per week (core working day: Tuesday)
Location: Hybrid – office based in York with home working in line with business need
Contract: 2 Year Fixed Term
Reports to: Deputy Chief Executive

Community First Yorkshire is a charity rooted in supporting communities across Yorkshire to thrive – especially in rural and under‑served places. We work alongside local groups, partners and funders to help turn good ideas into real, positive change.

We’re looking for an experienced Projects Manager to lead a small, varied portfolio of community projects – from ageing well and climate action to rural housing and partnership work. You’ll support and inspire project staff, keep things running smoothly, and build strong, trusting relationships with partners and funders.

You’ll enjoy this role if you:

  • Are confident managing projects, budgets and deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and work well with different people
  • Like shaping new ideas and helping others do their best work.
