Recruitment advertising

Our recruitment service provides a quick and cost-effective way for you to advertise vacancies to thousands of people working in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector.

We will advertise your vacancy in our enewsletter, Community First Yorkshire News, via an email job bulletin which is sent direct to subscribers, on this website’s jobs pages and through our social media channels.

If you’re a Community First Yorkshire member, don’t forget to access your free job or trustee role add per membership year. Given that membership starts at £50, that’s almost the cost of membership recouped with one advert so it’s worth considering joining. Find out more here.

For more information please call 01904 704177 or email info@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk.

Why advertise your job or trustee role with us?

We have direct access to 7,000+ VCSE organisations across North, South and West Yorkshire via our website, enewsletters, social media and word of mouth.

Posting a job or trustee role with us is quick and easy, allowing you to get your vacancy in front of the right people without any hassle.

Your job post won’t get buried. We promote listings across our networks, ensuring your vacancy gets maximum exposure through email alerts, social media, our fortnightly enewsletter and our weekly Jobs Bulletin.

Advertising your role with us is much cheaper than media advertising or contacting organisations directly!

What you get

  • We will list your job or trustee role on our website – this is our most visited page on our site.
  • We’ll promote your vacancy in our weekly jobs mailer, sent every Thursday to a network of more than 600 contacts. To maximise exposure, your vacancy will be included in every edition until the application closing date. If no application deadline is set we will advertise your role for 4 weeks.
  • We will list your job in our fortnightly enewsletter, Community First Yorkshire News, (which has 2,500+ subscribers) for the duration of the application window. The jobs section is one of our most frequently read sections in the enewsletter.
  • We will post about your vacancy on social media, tagging in your organisation on LinkedIn and Facebook, giving your role the opportunity to be seen by thousands of followers. There will be a minimum of one post per social media platform.

What you need to send us

To place an advert (of no more than 300 words) please send the text exactly as you would like it circulated to info@communityfirstyorkshire.org.uk.

We will need you to confirm (by email) that you are happy to pay the charge (either £45 or £95 respectively depending on the type of organisation you represent – see above). Please state clearly in your email the person and address to whom the invoice should be sent.

Please note: due to the nature of the email programme that we use we are not able to send out attachments. Where possible please provide web links so that recipients can access further information if needed.

You will need to include:

  • Your organisation logo so that we can brand your job listing and mailer to subscribers of our Jobs Update.
  • Any links to job descriptions, website, equal opportunities form, confidential details forms etc. relevant to your role.
  • A deadline for applications so that we know when to stop listing your opportunity.
