Volunteer Leader of the Year Award

Smiling man in a green Volunteer shirt, recently named Volunteer Leader of the Year, holds a box of tinned food and jars, standing in front of a group of fellow volunteers packing supplies in a donation centre.

Heritage Volunteering Group have announced that entries are now open for their Volunteer Leader of the Year Award.

Supported by TeamKinetic, their annual award is your chance to celebrate someone who has made a difference to their volunteers, organisation and community.

Open to paid and unpaid Volunteer Coordinators, Supervisors and Managers, the award recognises outstanding leadership and innovative practice in volunteer engagement across the heritage sector.

This year’s winner will receive a £100 gift card and a one-hour consultation with Rob Jackson, whilst the runner-up will receive a £25 gift card.

To help you with your nomination, they’re running a special HVG Event on award writing (14 July at 3:15pm).

During this session, they’ll break down what makes a strong application, share practical tips on structuring your content and give you the tools to clearly articulate your impact. Book via Better Impact.

The winner of the Volunteer Leader of the Year Award will be announced at Heritage Volunteering ‘26, their annual online conference taking place on 24–25 November.

For more information on completing your nomination, see their helpful guide, or to learn more about previous winners, visit the Volunteer Leader of the Year section of their website.

All you need to do is submit your online nomination, or return this form to heritagevolunteeringgroup@gmail.com by 31 August.
