Skipton: Youth Programme Therapeutic Leader, Jamie’s Farm
£35,360–£43,160 | Skipton, North Yorkshire | Permanent | Full time, 45hrs per week Monday–Friday including 1 early and 1 evening per week
If you care deeply about helping young people feel heard, understood and able to see themselves differently, Jamie’s Farm would love to hear from you.
Jamie’s Farm is a charity that supports young people through combining therapeutic work, farming and purposeful activities. Through residential visits to their working farms, they provide a nurturing environment where young people can reflect, build confidence and develop resilience to overcome personal challenges.
They are looking for a skilled and compassionate Youth Programme Therapeutic Leader to join Jamie’s Farm Skipton ahead of launching residential visits in January 2027.
More about the role
This is not a formal therapy or counselling role. As Youth Programme Therapeutic Leader, you will coordinate therapeutic input for up to four school or partner visits each month. You will have personalised conversations with young people, facilitate reflective group discussions and work with visiting staff and the farm team so each child gets the support they need.
You will contribute to daily farm life through walks, meals and shared activities, write personalised reports and act as the farm’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
About you
You will bring strong experience of working with young people facing challenging circumstances, with the warmth, curiosity and patience to build trusting relationships. You may come from youth work, education, mentoring, social care or a similar field.
Organised, collaborative and flexible, you will be confident using reflective and relational approaches, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to Jamie’s Farm’s values.
Don’t meet every requirement? They’d still love to hear from you.
