York: Placement Coordinator, Safe and Sound Homes
Salary: £33,301 pro rata (non-negotiable).
Contract: Fixed term initially until October 2027, with extension possible subject to funding.
Location: Hybrid between office and home (Safe and Sound Homes’ workforce works on a hybrid basis with agreed days in their York office and at home).
Hours: 22.5 hours per week.
The working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate; however, availability to work on a Monday and a Tuesday morning is required. They welcome flexible working arrangements, including job share opportunities.
There is a requirement for participation in an ‘out of hours’ duty rota for which the post holder will receive additional payment.
The Opportunity
Safe and Sound Homes (SASH) have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who wishes to make a direct, positive impact on the lives of young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness. The role is based in their Operations Team and will cover York, East Riding and Hull.
They are committed to keeping children and young people safe and this role will require an enhanced DBS check prior to commencement. Please review their Safeguarding Statement and there will be a requirement for candidates shortlisted for interview to complete a Self-Disclosure form as part of this process.
Job Summary
This dual role is to provide crisis and longer-term support to young people aged 16-25 facing homelessness alongside the ongoing support and management of SASH’s network of hosts. The post holder is responsible for effectively managing the Nightstop and Supported Lodgings placements of young people in the home of SASH’s hosts.
