They are looking for an enthusiastic Activities Officer to lead and develop an engaging programme of activities for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by providing opportunities that reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and support individuals on their journey towards greater independence.

Working closely with their Client Services Team, volunteers and community partners, you will design and deliver a varied timetable of recreational, educational and wellbeing activities. From arts and crafts, cooking and gardening to fitness sessions, wellbeing workshops and life-skills training, you will create opportunities that inspire participation, personal growth and social connection.

The successful candidate will be confident building positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have experienced homelessness, trauma or other complex challenges. You will motivate individuals to try new experiences, develop new skills and engage in activities that support their wellbeing and future aspirations.

You will also recruit and support volunteers, develop partnerships with local organisations and community groups, monitor programme impact and ensure activities are delivered safely and inclusively.

What they’re looking for

They are seeking someone who is creative, organised and compassionate, with excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting people facing disadvantage. Experience in activity coordination, community engagement, education, health and wellbeing, or the voluntary sector would be advantageous.
