Empower People. Build Confidence. Change Lives.
Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers, gain confidence and build brighter futures? Do you believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to develop the skills needed to live independently and thrive?
Harrogate Homeless Project is looking for a compassionate, motivated and resilient Life Skills Coach to join their dedicated team and support people experiencing homelessness on their journey towards independence.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. Working directly with individuals accessing their services, you will provide tailored one-to-one support and deliver engaging workshops designed to help people develop the practical skills, confidence and resilience needed to maintain a stable home and achieve their goals.
You will support clients with areas such as budgeting, debt management, benefits, healthy living, cooking and tenancy responsibilities, helping them build the foundations for long-term independence. You will also continue to work with individuals after they move on from HHP accommodation, providing ongoing support to help them sustain successful tenancies and avoid returning to homelessness.
Alongside individual coaching, you will design and deliver interactive group sessions covering topics such as life skills, digital inclusion, communication, emotional wellbeing and financial literacy. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure clients have access to the specialist support, training and opportunities they need to succeed.
They are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive and encouraging approach and a genuine commitment to empowering people facing disadvantage. Previous experience in support work, coaching, housing, education, community development or a related field would be advantageous.

- Workplace pension scheme
- Ongoing training and professional development
- The opportunity to make a lasting difference in people’s lives
